My Story
Hello There!

My name is Rachel Eden, and I’m excited to have you here!
For as long as I can remember I have been enthralled with the Spanish language; it had me completely captivated and mesmerized.
In 2008 I went on a Missions Trip to Guatemala with my parents, and that trip instilled in me the desire to learn Spanish.
In 2014 I attended Faith Baptist Bible College and during my years there I went on 5 more missions trips to Guatemala, and I also lived in Lima, Peru May 2017-May 2018. I returned speaking Spanish after having lived with a Peruvian family the whole year as well as having taken one-on-one language lessons for 2 hours Monday-Friday for the first 5 months of my time there. I graduated from Faith with a Bachelor of Arts in World Missions with an emphasis on Spanish.
I have never stopped loving the Spanish language, and I will speak it every chance I can get.
These days I go to Guatemala on Mission trips 3-4 times a year. I mostly interpret for the women's programs, but I will sing and play my ukulele, share testimonies and sometimes teach.
In the year 2022 I began teaching some individuals Spanish and even interpreted in a school and I loved it, so I decided to turn it into a business!

I received my Bachelor of Arts in World Missions with an emphasis on Spanish at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. I received the "Arts" title due to having completed testing to be considered "bilingual".
Thanks to my schooling, I have the qualifications to work in Foreign Diplomacy or even Homeland Security, but I would much rather serve my community with my language abilities.
I am overjoyed for the opportunity to use something I love, to be a blessing, and I cannot wait to work with YOU!

¡Me llamo Raquel Eden y estoy tan contenta tenerte aquí!
Por mucho de mi vida puedo recordar que estaba cautivada con el español. Me encantaba el idioma.
En 2008, fui a un viaje de misiónes a Guatemala con mis padres, y ese viaje me dio el deseo de aprender español.
En 2014 Yo asistí a Faith Baptist Bible College y durante mis años allí realicé 5 viajes misioneros más a Guatemala, y también viví en Lima, Perú en Mayo de 2017 hasta Mayo de 2018. Regresé hablando español después de haber vivido con una familia peruana todo el año, además de haber tomado lecciónes de español individuales por 2 horas cada Lunes a Viernes durante los primeros 5 meses de mi tiempo allí. Me gradué de Faith con una carrera en Misiónes del mundo con énfasis en español.
Nunca he dejado de amar el idioma de español, y lo hablaré cada vez que tenga oportunidad.
En estos días voy a Guatemala en viajes misioneros 3-4 veces al año. Principalmente interpreto para los programas de mujeres, pero canto y toco mi ukelele, comparto testimonios y, a veces, enseño.
En el año 2022 comencé a enseñar español a algunas personas e incluso interpreté en una escuela y me encantó, ¡así que decidí convertirlo en un negocio!

Recibí mi Licenciatura en Artes en Misiones Mundiales con énfasis en español en Faith Baptist Bible College en Ankeny, Iowa. Recibí el título de “Artes” debido a haber completado las pruebas para ser considerado “bilingüe”.
Gracias a mi educación, tengo las calificaciones para trabajar en Diplomacia Extranjera o incluso en Seguridad Nacional, pero preferiría servir a mi comunidad con mis habilidades lingüísticas. Estoy muy contento por la oportunidad de usar algo que me encanta, para ser una bendición, y no puedo esperar a trabajar con USTED!
